Coachella came back in April for the first time in three years but it was different. @LilBaby and @PrincessNokia were featured on the festival’s main stage on day one. Additionally, @CityGirls and @Cordae also played Coachella this year. Coachella doesn’t usually conjure images of hip hop culture but it's clear now that even Coachella needs the culture. Hip hop is the number one genre of music in the world and it's abundantly clear now that without it, nothing moves.
#Coachella grossed over $100 million in 2017, attracting more than 250,000 people. Coachella has captured the world’s imagination but hip hop is the main attraction. All over the world, the sound of hip hop translates. Whether fans see Lil Baby on a bag of #RapSnacks or Coachella’s main stage, there’s an instant connection and it translates into dollars. Today the conversation is about Coachella but in the near future, perhaps the titans of hip hop will link and produce their very own, world renowned festival. All things are possible with Hip-Hop.
