We are still on a high from witnessing our people racking up the medals in Paris, y'all! We don’t know what we were more hype about…seeing the live games in the wee hours of the morning or celebrating our Rap Snacks partner Snoop Dogg dominating Olympic commentary!
The journey to the Olympics is not for the average person. The dedication, training, and mindset required to achieve the final road to gold will be displayed for the whole world to see in two weeks. From the electrifying sprints on the track to the demanding routines in gymnastics, black athletes not only competed with the best but also often emerged AS THE BEST, taking home considerable medals haul and making us so proud.
Among the myriad of inspiring stories and unforgettable performances, the representation and achievements of black athletes stand out, shining brightly against the backdrop of global competition.
Now that we must wait another four years to see these games, we shout out our talented brothers and sisters and give them even more flowers.
